Good food and very cute atmosphere

worst service.do not go there. They offer decomposed meal...each ingredient put in your plate. Overpriced and worst service.

A fantastic place, food was excellent, service was top notch and I will definitely be returning when I come back to Quebec.

The burger was magnificent. The tartare was superb. All in all this is an amazing restaurant. Definitely will come back here!

We had their special dinner on Christmas Eve. For first course we had a tartare and their perfect egg, which was indeed cooked to perfection. Main courses were filet and guineafowl. The filet was perfectly cooked medium-rare, pink and no sign of blood. The guineafowl was even better. Juicy and tender, cooked au jus with a side of foie gras mashed potatoes. The service started a bit slow but got better over time. We could notice they were really overwhelmed that night but it didn't impact the food quality at all.

We recently held a function for a group of 55 from Australia.We had a fantastic time and Louise Taverne. Blaise and his hardworking team made everything so easy and perfect for our guests.Definitely recommend Louise Tavern in Quebec (right opposite the cruise terminal)as a go to for a couple or a group looking for a great spot!

Short but pleasant menu. Le Louise coffee with Baileys and whisky is excellent !

We were a larger group and our server did an excellent job handling all of us. The food was perfectly seasoned, I especially loved the seafood cake, and the pork dish (spine). My server was also able to speak English with me - thank you!

Good food but very slow service...

Nice brunch on a quiet day. Salmon gravlax and beef Tatar were both excellent.

The food was pretty good. It seemed to be high quality and the serving size was adequate. My issue was with the service.. we were at the restaurant from for 4 hours... our waiter was looking past our group to the table behind us, completely avoiding eye contact. It took about an hour from salad to soup, then another hour from soup to entree. The restaurant wasn't even full.

Waited an hour and forty five minutes to be served cold food (and corn with the husk still on!). Not worth the high price tag

Was a little dead for a Sunday night in off season. But the food was great and the daily special was what makes Old Quebec a foodies dream.

Nothing bad to say about the place, everything was fine but not exceptional. Food was great... but too expensive. Many items were not available on the menu, maybe we were unlucky. Wine card was pretty good but limited by the glass options and not well priced compared to the bottles. I'd say it's a good place but unfortunately I have other spots I prefer in town. But not a bad choice and the food was really good.

In Qc for business this was the closets resto to my accomodations. First nigth we were a large group with a reservation. It took two full hours between the time we ordered and the time we got our meal. Second nigth I went alone looking for a quite meal, several peoe joined me like two tables. The waiter and the barman were entertaining a custumer at the bar. They were loud, obnoxious and on top bad mouthing Montreal and all its sins. A couple of times I was really tempted to set them straight for their lack of professionalism. I couldn't wait to finish my meal and walk away. Food wise the menu is quite small, only one choice if you are vegetarian. Definitely not a place to repeat.

The food is ok nothing special but the quality and service is inconsistent. I have been here all week and tried it a few times since its part of the hotel. The other night the fish and chips was great - crispy tarter sauce was in its own container. today the fish for the fish and chips is soggy, they just dumped the tarter sauce all over everything making half the mean inedible for me. Same happened with burger and fries - they put the salad in with the fries so they were all soggy rather than a to go container which they did for another time I ordered. No quality control.

Really great restaurant. Food is really good! The bison tongue is a must try! The table setting needs to be looked at... own mayonnaise and bottled ketchup should be a must. Service was long tonight but the food is great... worth the wait.

Awful. Bad service. Got there at 13:30 and they just served brunch on a Monday. Tasteless food - all too cooked. Overpriced. Real pity. To avoid completely.

We stopped there for some afternoon heat drinks but the service was so slow, decided to continue elsewhere. Drinks were decent though.

Surprisingly delectable beef cheek stew, good selection of beers and wines?, and a waitress that still treats comes to check up on you after you say hello instead of bonjour. The only thing is they ran out of beef so could of used some of my steak tartare or beef cheek for a hamburger. I just wanted a hamburger. But the food was great nevertheless. Cozy place that was much needed at a time of absurd cold.

Very nice restaurant, did not personally eat their but enjoyed their beverages. Very nice cocktail selection and the drinks were made well! Definitely suggest to stop by if you are in the area. Location is beautiful!

Beautiful restaurant in the heart of old Quebec. Staff were welcoming without being too obvious but the menu was the show stopper. Numerous dishes prepared to perfection and each one was carefully curated for maximum impact. Great wines accompanied the meal and experienced Sortilege whiskey for the first time and guaranteed it won't be the last ! Only one suggestion ...replace the paper napkins with linen.

The food and the service here was exceptional. Especially our server for dinner multiple nights and breakfast. They really took the time to get to know us and make our time in Québec wonder.

Hotel was very nice and ppl were kind with smiles but this pub gave us a worst experience in Quebec. Disappointed!

Wednesday night, hitting Quebec at 5pm with no idea where to eat. Quite a few in neighborhood but tried Louise Taverne and so glad we did. Without reservation we wete seated in comfortable seats at the bar. Staff very friendly to us and we were able to observe all great food coming from kitchen. We enjoyed the fish & chips, very hot and plentiful. Salad was fresh, cold and flavorful. Highly recommend.

Quaint atmosphere, flavorful menu with interesting combinations. Daily specials and Chefs Choice. Cocktails!This isn't a large place, and it's busy, so reservations are recommended.The servers are very helpful and friendly.

Awesome restaurant and adjacent wine bar. Blaine and the entire staff are 1st class...food amazing and wine selection spectacular! Highly recommend it to anyone visiting this beautiful city

This was one of our most favorite places in Québec! We loved our dishes so much, we went back to take pictures with the owner and the chef. Every dish sourced form local ingredients will be meticulously constructed with love and care. Enjoy and don't forget to thank the kitchen!

Seriously, I couldn't recommend this place enough! We were walking on a cold day of April in the Old Port and we saw Taverne Louis still open on the Googles! We are so glad we stopped. We wanted to take a beer to warm up, which they have a few good choices on tap, and we sat at the bar. Love a place with an open kitchen, and they even have a Chef's table! The staff seemed academicaly trained, and the service was simple yet professional. We weren't hungry but they left us the menu and we went for the bigger Charcuterie and cheese plate. Everything done on the spot but they cheeses, but they're local! What a nice combination with beer! Thank you for being there!

One of the best meals I have ever had. Enjoyed the ceviché and fish of the day, both so fresh and well balanced. Indulgent in the best way imaginable. Ambiance is amazing, sat at the bar and was served by Gabrielle who was wonderful. She recommended a lovely French riesling to pair with my meal. A truly lovely experience, will make a point to come back next time I am in this beautiful city!
